IMPORTANT THAT HUNTERS TO SOUTH AFRICA MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING
DOCUMENTATION READY, ON ARRIVAL TO THE COUNTRY:
1. PASSPORT.
2. RETURN
AIRLINE TICKET.
3. PROOF
OF OWNERSHIP.
Fire arm
licences - Documentary Proof.
USA Citizens
- Custom declaration Form 4457 that is officially stamped.
4. EXPORT
PERMIT:
NB: Clients
must obtain documentation from their Government
Institution/Police/Customs, for legally exporting firearm(s) from
their country.
This document
(written in English) is to be presented on arrival and must state
the following:
It is hereby
certified that the owner of firearm(s)
..state particulars,
..state caliber
state
serial
number
..and type of weapon, is herby authorized
to temporarily
export the above firearm(s) from
(Name of Country)
5. IMPORT
PERMIT :
South African
Import Application FORM SAP 520 must be completed by hunter on
arrival to be signed in front of a police officer.
The above
documents are to be handed in,together with the Import permit SAP
520.
Form SAP 520
together with other information, can be downloaded from the website
of Professional Hunters Association (PHASA) at
www.professionalhunters.co.za.
It is recommended that the document SAP 520 are to be completed in
BLACK PENCIL
before arrival.
Hunters who
dont want to be bothered with all these documentation can contact
PHASA and they will do the paperwork on your behalf to guarantee you
a hazzle free arrival and there after. There is a nominal fee
(round about $100) connected to this service. |
