HUNTING TRIPS |

|
Hunting trips are for a for a minimum of three days as
follows:
The following arrangements (if possible) can be made on special
request) at no additional cost:
(i) Arriving Sunday Afternoon - Leaving
Thursday morning early.
(ii) Arriving Wednesday Afternoon - Leaving Sunday morning
early.

BOOKINGS |

|
It is important to make provisional reservations , well in advance
and to be confirmed and paid by a deposit at least three months
prior to the hunt.
The most practical way in making a
booking is as follows:
-
Contact us by e-mail or Fax.

After receiving our reply, please call us by telephone to
discuss a timeslot to be acceptable to both parties.
-
A reservation or a provisional reservation can be made, subject
to payment of the deposit - 3 months prior to the date of
arrival.
-
Reservations can only be finalised when the full deposit of the
daily rates has been transfered into the following banking

Upon
receipt of the money the booking will be finalised and confirmed in

Deposits made, cannot
be refunded, but bookings can (if possible) be re-allocated for
another period in the same year. |

HUNTING REGULATIONS |
| |
|
|
ALTHOUGH NOT
UNFAMILIAR TO EXPERIENCED HUNTERS, THE FOLLOWING REGULATIONS ARE
NEVERTHELESS BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION.
-
Hunting with or from vehicles and
hunting in the vicinity of the Lodge and Waterplaces, are not
allowed.
-
Hunters must be accompanied by
guides in the veld. Guides can be consulted, but the
responsibility lies with the person that pulls the trigger.
-
No alcohol allowed in the veld
and no alcohol to be given to the guides.
-
The save handling of weapons are
of utmost importance, and on arrival back from the veld, hunters
must confirm that the the cartridges has been removed from the
gun.
-
On arrival to the farm, hunters
must confirm that their rifles has been correctly sighted,
otherwise they need to go to the shooting range, to be done.
-
Fire arms smaller than 270
calibre and shotguns are not allowed and ammunition
of all calibers must be soft points.
-
No birdshooting and airguns
allowed.
-
After three successive missed
shots, the hunter will return to the shooting range.
-
Animals in motion may not be shot
at all. Only shoot, once the animal is clearly visible and
standing in a position for a true shot (broadsight). Head
shots,very often cause,broken jaws and the loss of the animal.
-
Once the animal has been wounded
– do not continue hunting, but start following the tracks
of the wounded animal, otherwise you may end up with the wrong
animal.
-
Once the animal has been shot or wounded,
ownership and risk goes to the hunter, and the animal
is to be paid in full.
-
Hunting on Sundays
or part thereof, can be done by special arrangement at a fee of
R150 for every tracker involved
-
(minimum) for every tracker
involved.
-
Gratituities to trackers are
optional and may only be given to them on departure and it must
be done through the owner.

MEAT
PROCESSING |
|
The following services are
available:

Skinning
-
Cutting carcasses
-
Make biltong - traditional "boerewors",
cocktail sausages and mince meat. You supply the meat and we do
the rest.
-
Delivery of the meat and biltong
in the Gauteng area, normally take place within ten day's time.
